It'll be fun
He was staring at a mossy tree. The tree loomed above all the others in the forest. He began to walk about the tree and observe things about it. He identified it as a White Ash tree. A good tree. He looked around at the other trees. They were ash as well. Other types of ash though. Mostly Black Ash. This seemed to be the only White Ash tree in the forest. As he gazed at the tree he did not the notice the ..... Continue there.
Think of a name for this main Character.

...small dwarf sitting on one of the branches. David smirked...picturing the dwarf with it's tiny little legs. The dwarf wore a giant, pointed red hat. His face was a chubby red, with twinkling eyes. Startling the boy, the dwarf leaped from the tree, sending out a dull "thump!" as he hit the ground. Brushing himself off, he said...

"STOP! I am am Orik, Grimstborithn of Dûrgrimst Ingeitum. You have entered the realm of Tronjheim. He who would cross the forest of my clansmen must answer me, these questions three, ere the other side he see."
David answered excitedly, "Ask me your questions, grimstborithn Orik! I am not afraid.
Orik grinned and replied, "What...is your name?"
David answered immediately, "David Ronanson of Therinsford."
Not missing a beat, Orik asked another question. "What...is you business in our land?"
David replied, "I seek the Druid's egg, otherwise known as the snake's jewel!"
Orik grinned cunningly and asked his third question, "What...was the capital of the Broddring Kingdom?"
David scratched his chin momentarily and replied uncertainly...

"uhhhh...." He gulped before saying: "Big Horn's Thumb?"
The dwarf fell on the ground, chuckling with a mighty roar. David stood uncomfortably, unsure of how to take the response.
"Is everything alright?" he questioned annoyingly.
The mighty dwarf stood up, letting out occasional chuckles here and there.
"Yes, everything is fine, young man. No need to worry. But by Grimtooth's beard that was funny!"
"So?"
David fidgeted, irritated at this strange little man.
"You were correct."

David sighed in relief and smiled at the Dwarf.
"Thank you, Orik. I'll just be on my way then."
Orik stepped aside, but spoke as David passed him. "I could accompany you, if you'd like. There may be more of my folk around and they aren't nearly as pleasant as I am."
David accepted his offer gladly and the two of them departed deeper into the forest. They walked for many miles until suddenly they came upon....

Rustling. Orik turned around. Touching his long brown beard, he squinted his beaty eyes into the dark forrest. David stood wide eyed, gripping his rusty old knife. Orik glanced at it, chuckling deeply.
"Boy...what in the blazes is that?"
David glared at his dwarf companion, holding the knife delicately.
"You'll never be able to defend yer self with that!"
The dwarf then reached for his scabbard, but was stopped as something lurched out of the forrest....
